The small cloister was finished in 1219. It was restored in the 19th century. The galleries are covered with barrel vaults, supported by transverse ribs resting on consoles. It was reserved solely for the prior and the procurator of the Carthusian monastery, as well as for the private discussions requested by the Carthusian fathers.
The small cloister, an architectural jewel, is a masterpiece achieved by an effective fusion of regional Romanesque and Gothic styles.

In the wall at the back of the small cloister, a stone engraved with a Latin cross and a crosier marks the tomb of the founder Guilhem de Vénéjan.
